For many years our German section has been poor but last year I tasted the
inspirational wines of Oliver Zeter from the Pfalz and they have now made it
onto our list. Stylistically, all his wines have a superb purity of fruit with fine minerality.
I don’t like oak aged Sauvignon Blancs and have never listed one – until now!
Oliver’s Sauvignon Blanc Fumé has stunning complex exotic fruit and beautifully
integrated oak. The Pinot Noir Reserve may be expensive, but it is
delicious: ‘admirably long. Well Done!’ Jancis Robinson.
